The one person who has shaped my political views, even more than Archie Bunker and Tom Metzger, is Ed Anger.

I've been reading his column on and off for about 15 years and I Thank Mr. Anger for teaching me what it truly means to be an American!

Under the Ed Anger Criminal Justice Revision Plan, police officers would be allowed to arrest someone and hold a mini-trial
right there on the spot--very similar to that TV show The People's Court where Judge Wapner deals out justice fast and
furious.

At the end of the trial, the cops would find the criminal guilty and decide the punishment, based on an easy-to-read
sentencing chart.

These crime and punishment charts would list things like Shoplifting: First offense - 2 years in jail. Second offense - 5 years
in jail and so on.

There would even be a section for capital crimes like murder and rape. The cop would simply choose the manner of
execution and take the criminal to a special facility equipped for hanging, electrocution, a firing squad, lethal injection, etc.,
based on the severity of the crime.

The criminal could be arrested, tried and executed within 24 hours without a lot of yackety-yak from lawyers, judges and
other do-gooders, by gum.

Eventually, we might even install space-age electric chairs in the backseat of every police car to cut down on the time it takes
to fry the slimeballs.
