PR Mk VII Type G (From the Mk Ia), in service Mid 1940.

Fully armed PR version of the Mk Ia, just pre the FR designation of the V's and later.

Wing roundels were further inboard on these, so they are in the correct position.
There was also an overall PRU blue version of it.

Can't decide if to bother finishing it -
1) Any use for scenarios
2) Who'd fly it in the MA

Extra bit -
PR Mk VII Type G was the fully armed PR version of Mk Ia
PR Mk X was actual PR version of the F VII

Go figure, lol.

2 slight changes -

1) Roundels may have been as shown on the port wing, not the stbd.
2) Used smaller fin flash.

This is about as far as I'm going to go until I get some feedback on its 'usefullness'.

Thanks Dan, I should have known :)

Think it's one of those unusual skins that HAS to be done.

Still getting twinges there was actually a pink VIII also, although whether a true PR version or FR VIII I don't know.

Anyway -

Using your pic, I'll do some tweaking on it (mostly layer opacities), but consider it 90% complete.

Simply because we lack other spit1 skins, this is a MUST, an absolute MUST!

Unarmed PR won't fly. That's why HTC won't allow F5s on P38s, if I recall.

Wasn't suggesting that it would fly Krusty.  But it's as close as we'd get.  As Kev mentioned previously, it's essentially the recce variant of the Spit VII.
