Seems I have the worst luck with these.
They work for a few months then either one side will go or the mic stops working.
I have had playtronics labtech etc etc.
Does anyone have a good durable head set they can recommend?

My Plantronics are ok, just the basic $30 set I got while on sale.
Mic did go out but the wires inside actually got pinched, Enzo the mad crimper I assume.
but they have been ok since.

That is if two to three years is durable.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Steel Sound's 5H is a quality headset. Retails for around 120, but I bet you can find it cheaper anywhere else.

Very comfortable, very excellent bass and has an extending mic that can coil up into the left side ear pad like measuring tape.

Using an LTB 5.1 digital surround headset with mic.  It requires no soundcard and is usb.....just loadup the usb drivers and plug into usb port and go.  I've uninstalled my SB card.  DLoad music and it has a great sound.

Cost around 80 dollars got them at Tiger Direct (no rebate thank god)
