87!!!!!!!

No offence... new driver seeing how fast he can go is Darwinism in action.  Although i do remember doing exactly the same thing in my first car.  A 1 litre 4 speed Rover Mini.  I managed to get it off the end of the speedo (which i think was 80 or 90) with a little bit of a hill :D

What do you need new tires for? tread on yours worn or something?

A 1 litre 4 speed Rover mini? whats is that?
Oh my first car could beat that, it was a 1976 Plymouth Fury, I got it when I was 16 and had it till I got married., It ran great even though it was really old until my exhusband decided to play dukes of hazzard with it.

Sounds like the Garden state parkway

Frequent drivers of the GSP have a name for NASCAR drivers here.

They call em "Amatures"

Agreed.
Raider, I'll tell you like I told my son.
Just because you just got your licence
Dont live by the delusion, and it IS a delusion, that you have either the experiance or the skill to play racecar on public roads.
You dont.

The life you save may not only be your own. But someone elses.
And getting yourself killed because you decided to play hotshot showoff would displease me greatly
Not to mention your mother

No. The mere thought of a "safety inspection" would cause mass hysteria.
