London, i'm new at this as well and have the X52.  Some really elementary questions, but confused a bit.

Where do i bring up notepad from and what do i use as the file extention.  Would that be my user name in the game.

After i paste this in notepad, do i move it to the settings folder and then in the game my controller is setup with these settings?

Iv'e been struggling in understanding what all controlls and buttons to use for the AH options.  Some i suppose need to be learned with what works better for an individual, but this seems to be alot different than what ive managed thus far.

Thanks for the help

This is just A  setup that i have come to like solely for Aces HIGH..i dont recommend these settings for any other games lol because it doesnt use fully the range of the X52.

yes all u need to do is name the folder what i sadi to name it and put it in the settings folder in THE HTC folder in your program files. and it should work. also it does not need to be notepad but notepad works best because it does not add any unwanted characters like word does.
you can open up notepad by pressing the wondowsbutton+R  and then typing notepad in the runbox. or by going into your start menu and clicking all program then acesories. it shld be there.

Thanks, i've done all that, but all it does is places the notepad text file in the settings folder.  It does not over write the current x52 file that is in the settings folder.  I think i'm doing something wrong, but clueless as to what to do.  I've named it with the file extention of jsm, but it remains a txt file and does not change the flight controller functions.

For RomeoII and you or anyone, what am i doing wrong?

My e-mail is rcjc29@buckeye-express.com

I have read alot, and hooked on this game, but afraid to do to much online because i'm just not experienced enough, but eager to get out there and learn and have fun.  Just struggling with understanding all the functions i have available with this joystick,  Have had a ton of input and i'm getting there, thanks to all for your help.

I saved text to notepad, it will not overwrite the existing jsm file.  If you know a short cut I would like it as it will save some key time.  :noid

Dont be shy to come online. you dont have to be "experienced enough" to have fun. Yes, youll probably die a lot and yes, you might get one or the other "skillless dweeb" called after you. But ignore those.... 99% its only frustration of the caller. Find a squad or a vet to wing with, theyll help you, give tips and keep you alive for a bit longer to learn.

If you see me online (TA or MA) just say hello and ask me :). Whats your ingame callsign?
