« on: July 03, 2006, 09:55:13 PM »
I knows it already been coded into the game seeing how ive been in the night time once on the TA was anyways. Someone said it was takin out for some reason. But anyways i was wondering if we could have night time again because when i was flying in it, it looks so cool plus it makes a great gv sneak attack time.

It's the 4th of July. They're out trying to blow themselves up.

Weather would be cool - not sure what rain, fog, or snow would do to frame rates though...

nite would make other planes a must have, off the top of my head the p-61 and there was also a nite fighter verison of corsair:aok . Weather yes, wind rain and fog, for the special maps snow. I reallllyyyy want to see this so we could add to the realism of the game.

I'll second that, some cloudy overcast, low visibility days once in a while sure would be nice. I didn't know it was sunny bright 364 days a year during WW2:confused:

In the AvA arena the ran a Rhine map with lots of clouds/weather fronts.  It was unplayable for me as even at alt wth FRs in the low teens and high teens only even in the tower.  Add trees at low alt flying -- forget it.

That havihg been said, I usually only get FRs of about 40 in the MA, which I know is lower than many others get.  Those that normally get 70s in the MA may see FRs drop into the 40s, which would not affect them in the least.  So go ahead and empty the MA of those of us with lesser vid cards!:aok

I log on and it's night, will be for another hour or so, I log off.

I log on and it's raining over 1/3 of the front lines, I log off.

I log on and visibility is at a minimum over 1/2 the front lines, I log off.

Do I get a credit for the time I can't play?

so is aces high a arcade game or a sim.

Weather including wind and nite would be nice. there times when u get reallllyyyy thick cloud cover at about 5k, i have no problem wit it, i just use the cloud cover to catch people asleep at the wheel. i did that to a set of bombers once it was lots of fun.  In and out of the clouds hes sprayin every where in site lookin for me well flame his other 2 bombers and stand back and watch them burn. If u dont like clouds cause this has happen to u pay attention if ur system sucks and cant handle it i dont noe what to say. This isnt a really high powered pretty graphic game and when u look at all the other flight sims out there aces high has really crappy graphics, a couple of upgrades should hav u lookin good.

i really dont want aces high to turn into an arcade game, if i want that i will play star fox.

I have to admit I liked the night - it was nice to be able to up bombers and climb out in darkness, then hit the target at dawn.

I understand the issues with people just cranking up the gamma to see in the dark.  Maybe another feature of darkness could be a halving or quartering of the  icon range to better simulate limited vision.
