That was a penalty.

Why was the free kick given outside the area?

The Italian defense has been really good in the game so far though...like a stone wall.  But their play-acting is really pathetic.  Touch them and they drop like bowling pins.

I've already told you the solution to all this european pansy play acting bull****.

Set up a committee to review every game after it is finished.  If you are caught taking a dive, you are suspended for 5 games.

Don't like it?  THEN STAY ON YOUR FEET YOU PANSY EUROPEANS.

Professionnal soccer is a hurting sport ethics big time.

It's really sad when kids, supposed to play for fun, are imitating those overpaid and uneducated (for the most part) wussies.

I'm 100% with LSailor on this one.

After having voiced my own concerns regarding this seemingly spineless behavior to people with more knowledge of World Cup Soccer, I was informed that it was "part of the game".

but that is football, you never know who will win, i still wonder how the
frogs err italians played that strong, after all the bull***** they played
before. We where so unlucky this time, i cant describe the feeling right now.
Now my hope is the Portugal or France will kick the shi*t out of Italy and win
the Title!.

Germany just showed there are one of the 4 best Football teams around the globem but nothing more or less.

but still its a crap night, the big party is over :(

I used to think refs in American sports had too much influence in games, but soccer is ridiculous.

He has the ability to make a team play a man short the whole game, wtf is that? And the game decided on last minute penalty kicks by desparate flops?

Soccer is a great game, but the game needs some rule changes, big time.

Line changes like hockey to keep the action fast paced and no more "out for the game" penalty, should be 5 minutes tops.

One of the greatest matches I have seen so far in the cup has been Brazil vs. France.  But even that almost got ruined when Vagina McGinestein Ronaldo couldn't hang onto the ball right infront of the box and decided to take a dive.  The ref decided not to call it, possibly because he saw it was a dive.  However, had he seen that it was a dive, he would have given mr. Ginestein Ronaldo a yellow card.  Hence, the outcome of the game could have been changed on a whim by that pansy Ronaldo.

that game was good, indeed.

I was in france during the 98 Cup, watching it alongside the local frogs in Nice. This one I watched on TV at the beach, and was just as excited. BOth teams actually faught, for the most part, refused to take dives. In the end, though, the damned frogs took it again.

Of the two Nazi sypathizing nations, I really wish Brazil had walked away the victors. But what're you gonna do, eh?
