You're assuming those bellybutton clowns could get a missile high enough?

Frankly I think a joint test between South Korea, Japan and the US should be the next step. It should consist of a sub surface launch of a balistic missile from the west side of the korean peninsula to the sea of Japan, transiting over north korea. I figure one missile test deserves another and this way they could see what a successful one looks like.

I bet the NK mission control was all excited they got to scream "Feet Wet!" as the rocket made it all the way to water.

My guess would be that, sometimes, it's best not to show the other side what you're really capable of.

As long as they're launching nothing more threatening than overgrown bottle rockets, I'd stick to the political outrage angle, and elect not to demonstrate exactly what I can do, and how I do it...let 'em sweat.

What really concerns me is that we've spent $92 billion on missile defense.  I sure hope the blasted thing actually works...

Don't spit into the wind, don't tug on superman's cape, don't fly missles near Vladivostok.

DPRK hasn't done anything illegal yet. I just hope were not wasting squeellions of dollars recovering korean rocket bodies in the briney deep.

Curious timing of this missle test though. USA independance day and the shuttle mission. Things that make you go hmmm.

BTW, all DPRK launches were tracked by PVO for intercept in case they go "wrong way".

We have an interesting reaction in the media. On Central TV the reports are quite neutral, without screaming about "danger", while "democratic" idiots scream about Russia facing the real military threat for the first time since Soviet times. (as if DPRK is the only real enemy while Western powers and NATO can't sleep at night thinking of how to protect us from Kim Chen Ir).

If North Korea will launch missiles at Russian cities - I'll go and join the Antarctic Liberation Front.

Well shoot, they can launch one in the same trajectory too then. Lets make it a real party.

Actually my mother who is visiting brought up a good point this morning.

I mentioned how it looked to me like he was trying to provoke a fight.

She mentioned a story she heard or read about years ago about the mouse that roared.

some pissant piss poor 3rd world country attacks the USA. The USA  defeats them and rebuilds their country. All on US taxpayer dime.

Could it be he wants us to attack and defeat NC so NC can get their country rebuilt for free?
