OK, folks.  Now that we see the options, are you (1) good with this new design with bigger planes, or do you (2) just want a correction to the wing shape in the patch the way it is (along with touchup of the Tokyo designation)?

(1) or (2) -- what's your vote?

My vote would be for the second one with
the enlarged planes.

I was afraid that making the planes larger
would crowd the space and obscure other
detals but that doesn't seem to have happened.
The patch looks more balanced now to my eye.

Also, since the planes are larger, the size of the
plane emblems are also larger and should reproduce
better in thread than those on the first design did.

My vote is for the second design with the larger
planes.  :)

I too was a little hesitant when I thought of enlarged planes, but that does look good.

One minor point, but isnt't the F4U facing the wrong way?:p

Thread Moved.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Yep.  I just a couple of days ago prompted the patch company again on the next round of the patch proof.  Things are still underway, and I will post the next patch proof here when I get it.

Here is the latest sewout, based on the new design:

They didn't do a die-cut edge (and kept the merrowed edge).  I will ask them to correct that.  As for the rest of it, what do you think?

The plane shapes aren't as clean as I'd like, but that can be due just to variation patch to patch and sewing over the rising-sun ridges and valleys.

I think the larger planes are definitely an improvement.
I can't exactly make it out but what color thread is Japan?

Looks good.  Should be awesome with the cut edge.
nice!  :)

I say take the star off the corsair and take the meatball off the ki61.

You don't get the tiny resolution you need. It's just not working at this size. Plus you get the entire country insignia behind the airplane shape. I think that illustrates what they belong to. Just my thoughts.

Now if only they could stitch straight wings and fuselages, without bowing them outward!
