Wave Dancer tragedy
« on: October 29, 2001, 03:46:00 PM »
I have been on this Peter Hughes dive boat several times off the coast of Belize. It is really a tragedy what happened during the recent hurricane.

I found this site and wanted to pass it along to any other AH divers. It's got a lot of up to date information of which you may be interested. It's definitely sad. There has been too much sadness these past few months, almost more than I can bear (knew 2 people in the towers).

There were 3 crew members and 17 divers from a Richmond, VA dive club killed in this incident.

I very much remember two women crew members that were killed, and have photos and video of them from my trips (too weird). I was watching some of the video this weekend from a recent trip on the Wave Dancer, remembering their smiles, laughes, and mannerisms.

From the information I have read so far, looks like Peter Hughes Diving might be in a heap of trouble for the future. But I guess we will just have to wait for the facts.

Just thought I would share this with some folks who care about such things.

Thanks,
