Lute, I did some of the giveaways. 76pts worth so far. Still waiting on some of them to come in. I also contributed 5 bucks. That does more than just give you 15 points, it also means you regen awake points at 5T every 10 minutes instead of ever 15 minutes.
Eating what you find in the streets instead of buying helps. I throw away anything under +5T in food. That way I dont fill up my cart. Invest in school and pick up your intelligence, then go begging at the 7/11. The more begging points you have and the higher your intelligence score, the more money you'll make begging. It eats up your awake points faster though.
Finally, join a gang. I'm sure one of the gangs the guys here are in would be glad to take you. They'll sponsor you a decent weapon and armor for your level and you can start rolling some of those 1st level bums you come across when you are exploring. Some dont know better than to keep large amounts of cash on hand and you can take half.
Make sure you keep YOUR money in your piggybank unless you need it.
Anytime you want to buy something, cash in points, cash in tokens, etc make sure you have no life! Search out a level 30 or 40 hobo and attack him, and once you are dead THEN go do your stuff. No one can attack you and steal your money if you are dead.
