Carrier Sortie (Director's Cut)
« on: July 09, 2006, 11:03:07 AM »
New version as of July 9, 2006.

I added a few new sound effects, and about 90 seconds of new video footage and video effects. Plus more information to tell the story better.

If you've dowloaded it before in the past, I'd say to download it again and watch again.

this is the link to the original thread with the link in the first post.

Click on the link in the original post.

10 minutes 41 seconds long.
Only 163MB in size.

OMFG, the film by itself was great, and the coincidental similarities to Top Gun were "okay" until 2 points in the film where I literally laughed out loud, here at my computer...

The name "Kermit" comes up and the music instantly starts playing the intro to "Danger Zone"

and...

"I'm gonna hit the brakes, he'll fly right by"

:lol :rofl :cry  <-- laughing til I'm crying.

Kermit:

I don't venture on to the BBS too often anymore.  "Carrier Sortie" is the type of film that motivates me to come back here more often to check for quality flicks that have been posted.  Very nice work on the film!

Are you using the full Vegas 6 or Vegas Movie Studio as your editing platform?

Very nice Kermit. For those having problems, right click the link and "Save target as" and it downloads the zip file.

I'm also pretty sure you need the Dvix codex for this one. Can get it at http://www.divx.com/

Before I was using an FTP link and I guess many people could not access the file.  I am now still learning about website hosting and so here is an alternative link using HTTP.  Please select "save" option and then unzip the file using windows to play.  The "open" option will not work, you must save it first.

I may also redo the voice acting sometime in august.

HTTP Link

Edit:
Crap, don't click on it yet.  It will be working by 10pm tonight.
