...well, I...er....I just changed it this morning...

If you'd stopped in over the past ten days, you would have had sand instead of trees.

Remember you can use Shift F1 through F3 to help improve frame rate by varying the horizon distance. Shift F4 for Ground attacks and GV sorties.
If frame rate still low with these the only recourse is graphic detail sliders.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

In the MA I've been the of The*Specialists* for the last few years. The squad will have it's 10th anniversary this November 2006.

New Map Beta Test in AvA
« Reply #7 on: July 17, 2006, 05:09:13 AM »
I have suggested this before in other discussions.

Instead of posting new maps in the MA, post them in the Ava arena and announce there is a new map and request for beta testers.  This has two large benefits to both arenas.  First, AvA should have many new players that might decide to frequent the arena more often.    Second, bugs can be discovered and reported to HTC prior to posting in MA, without putting a strain on their developmental resources.:aok

There is a downside of course for the occasional AvA enthusiast (like me)   There will be map resets to correct  flaws, and glitches that will be exploited.

Still, I would like to see 50 players:noid in AvA rather than the usual 3 or 4 (and less)   For a peek at a new map, most players will make consilations.and be more forgiving, having been notified in advance that it is beta.:O
