Dude Why are u posting a
1 yr. article on Exploding Laptops

I would think if u have one now it would have gone off if not
 then its not defective.
If you bought 1 recently I believe they wouldnt Give you a Defective
Battery.

I dont usually say this But this is the STUPIDEST post I have ever
seen.

Do you talk to yourself to hear yourself talk ?
Do you watch yourself in the mirror just to look?
Are you posting just to POST or you like using your Keyboard so much
and you are board of Internet PORN?

Just my 2 cents:) !!!

We agree on one thing:  "this is the STUPIDEST post I have ever seen."

Were you dropped on your head as a baby, or is this something you had to work at?

"No one died, but some laptop users were severely injured, CPSC spokesperson Julie Vallese said. To curb this trend, laptop companies have recalled more than 150,000 batteries since Jan. 1, 2005.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ)  recalled 15,700 of them in April alone.

Dell (Nasdaq: DELL)  recalled 22,000 batteries in December, and Apple recalled about 120,000 batteries in 2005."

your article
this is a problem they have been correcting since 2005.

NOW I would not like my house to burn down neither would anyone
else but you are CRYING WOLF !!!!

So in your line of thinkin There is probably 25 ways your house can
burn down ( thanks for the warning) 50 to be killed in your house
and so on.

So in closing I say this is not a warning this is a REDUNDANT excuse to keep this thread alive. If this was very important it would be followed by the 6 oclock news !!

Thanks AGAIN Walter Cronkite
LOL :)

So whats with the Attempts to Flame Me ???

Info for you ... Laptop battery fires/leaking/ect have been going on since the early-mid 90's that i know of.

btw i wonder what really happens to the 15K in batterys they recalled in april ?
here I'll even attempt to teach you something .

Theres werehouse/wholesale companys that buy mass lots of these kinda things just for resale in the various outlets (Ebay, New Egg, ect ect), Do you think they all will give up the lot and take a loss ???

Now Rayzore , how about taking your flaming to the oclub  or even better yet to a different bbs all together , this isnt the place or forum for it .

you better give up ... I'm gonna prove you wrong one more time ... then im done with you .

Newegg.com does not test any product, including Open Box items. Open Box components are therefore only tested by the original manufacturer. Due to the varying quality of manufacturer testing, YOU ARE TAKING A RISK BUYING OPEN BOX PRODUCTS. Open Box items are OPEN BOX products that contain components that have previously been owned by other clients and returned to Newegg.com. These products are sold considerably under cost.

http://www.newegg.com/home/Clearance.asp?Type=Clearance

They were known to sell returned items in the past that were bad ...

do you really think they rma all the items in the clearence section or even check for recalls ???

3 strikes  Rayzore ... dont ya think its time to stop befor you need a new bbs .

I'm done now .

Dude, what's your malfunction?  He was just alerting people to a possible issue. I for one am appreciative because my wife's laptop is on the list of defective laptops, without this post I might not have known (as it is, I did know and replaced the battery a while back). In any case, nothing about his post warranted your ridiculous flame.

Here's a suggestion, find something worthwhile to flame out about, like global warming or the middle east. Roscoroo is a respected member of the community and you're just showing your rear end by flaming him for no good reason.

And if this is the 'stupidest post' you've seen on these boards, you sure don't read many threads.

U once again sir your are wrong

OPEN BOX items are Items returned by some who purchased that
Item from new egg.

I.E. I buy video card,  I try to flash GPU,  I screw it up,  I send it Back
It now is a open box ITEM that they will resell not testing it to see whats
wrong.

Now Scottydawg I am not dismissing the fact this information is
needed but its like your nieghbor saying your  house is on fire and your standin next to the fire truck.

Also Scoty I dont know how many recalls u have been in volved with
but usually they send you a letter or your local news tells you and hey
My laptops on that list with 1 exception its newer than the ARTICLE.

My Point is that thsi post is USLESS to anyone except those roscoroo
has sign on to defend his position.

Do you think If this was So serious ( which I do agree it is ) you would be contacted ASAP.

to reiterate It is too late on the warning OR at least find a Newer ARCTICLE
to use for PETE'S Sake have u seen the DATE of the article.

And  ROSCOroo you are so wrong about NEwegg !!
