I've seen him in the MA Sandman, so he's still around.

Seagoon said he's been doing stuff and wouldn't be able to convert us heathens as a full time job anymore.

Hi Sandy and all,

Sorry to go all silent on you for the last month or so. A lot has been happening and I haven't had any time to play or correspond on the BB. I've missed the conversations, especially given current events, but I've barely had a moment to breathe of late.

To recap recent events in the life of Seagoon (which should explain why I haven't been able to talk to you...):

* At the end of June I attended our denominational General Assembly in Atlanta and spent the week working all day on a closed session committee.
* At about the same time, we finally closed on our first house after 12 years of renting. We began the painting/packing/cleaning/moving process two weeks ago, and haven't stopped since. I have learned the hard way, that you can work or you can move, but you definitely can't do both. In any event  and I am now sitting in a room in my new house literally surrounded by boxes.
*My PC was damaged in the move (can't complain - I dropped it myself) so I spent several days getting it back in working order. But that delay didn't really impact me as our broadband/phone installation took a week longer than I expected. Turns out  the house was a foreclosure and the former occupants cut the phone wires at two points.
*  My long-suffering wife is 7 months pregnant so she's kind of limited as to how much help she can give, but has been overdoing it anyway.
*  Also, along with an increase in attendance, our congregation has had a recent uptick in counseling/crisis events of late, so I've been trying to get to them as well.

Anyway, I have no complaints. Whenever discontentment rears its ugly head, I simply remember I pastor a congregation in North Carolina and not Southern Sudan, and count my blessings once again.

Looking forward to getting to talk to you all again when I have a moment. Oh, yeah and FLY! Expect me to be online and fully operational in uh... 2 weeks  ;)

Just direct your congregation to the O'Club. With all the available advice from this forum, I am sure we will be able to help.

Good to hear from you.
