Im one lucky SOB to have fallen into a group of Great guys called the Buccaneers! Guys I had a spectacular time! Mike thanks again for making it happen. I'm not sure I'm all together normal today, and I'm not sure I want to be. When I close my eyes I'm still sitting backseat of the T6 making machine gun noises while Mikes lining up the shot on the RV-4! Or I'm looking back at a nice CLEAR SIX VEIW of the 2 ship formation take off of T6's... so many memories. Like the ride in the Pitts SB-2 pulling 5 1/2 G's and an incredible knife edge down the runway while looking at Tom Vaughn warming up Whitey's T6 on the tarmac. Theres so much more, including the last day when Knfe wasnt feeling to well but had to fly me back to ALB from Colorado Springs. I Thought Knfe just may have a screw loose when after take off he flipped the yoke over in the Bonanza and said "I gotta get some sleep, so just fly South". Or hearing him say "What the hell ya doing flying a straight line for, go down and have some fun, just dont scare the cows". Flying a couple hundred feet off the ground in and around the mountains and valleys of the Rockies for two hours was a whole nother expierence! A really neat part of that was understanding and adjusting the RPM and Manifold, based on flying Aces High. I also have to mention how the dogfights on Saturday closely ressembled are fights in AH minus the G's. The only thing that I feel we miss out on is how small the distance we travel is when we get into tight circle fights, the computer terrain just doesnt give that feedback. Well enough of my rambling, Buccs keep an eye to the eastern sky, cause I'll be back!
Soon as I figure out how to turn these Pics back to jpeg's and host a site so I can post these pics, I will! Unless one of you savvy types can help me out, I know how to Email
