If an Italian bomber is to be added, it will and should be the S.79.

You know what never mind doesn't look like many were built. And while it would be good to have in the Mediterranean scenarios and FSO's or even MA  as  a change of pace from Lanc 17's or 24's I dont think it saw enough service.

It saw combat action, it wasn't a complete failure - there is nothing absolutely "extordinary" about this aircraft.

It may not of seen total squadron strength or flew hundreds of missions, but I see no reason it cant be added.

Yeha that dont mean I dont WANT it added Id fly the hell out of it  but we NEED othe rplanes added at this point. Like I said  would be nice from MTO  scenerios and FSO's and just for  a change of pace heavy bomber in the MA and the skinners can have some fun with this one.

Well Honestly if it comes down to it, most likely the SM.79 would be a wiser choice to add, it served in MTO with some 1,300 being built - its more of a medium bomber but served quite well in the MTO. Slightly better defensive armaments vs a Ju-88, carries a torpedo or bombs.

And whats really cool? Tri-motor :)

Yeah I was thnking that. But I found the 108 to see if the axis had any heavy bomber that saw good use.

Well consider this - 108 would be a good Main Arena bomber - but for scenarios, snapshots, Fso's the 108 wouldn't be used..... maybe one flight per Frame thats if its MTO early in the war.
SM.79 would be flown across the entire MTO, early, mid and late war.

SM.79 might suffer in the LWarenas, only because its nothing more then a Medium bomber that can sling a torpedo.. I'd give up flying B-24s for it, just looks really cool.

They flew squadron strength no more than 20-30 total flew combat. The Italians just could not afford a four engined bomber. The Germans took all the cargo versions after Italy broke away & sent them to the Eastern front.
The Germans liked the cargo version a great deal.

I would really like this plane to be added, definitely. :x  However, it will probably get added around the time they decide to add the TBD Devastator. :(

Wow I find it hard to believe it has been almost 38 days since our last path. We should have release another 38 versions by now  :bhead
