Settings suggestions?

Ok here's my system specs:
2 or 3 year old Alienware PC ( I can't remember)
2.66 Ghz P4
1 gig ram
Radeon 9700 Pro 128 mb ( I need a better card)

Resolution set a 1024x768 (same as desktop)

I have the game tweaked up in the settings and I get a steady 40+ fps most of the time...very rarely it will drop to the low to mid 30's (flying over a burning field with lots of cons)
The problem is I see all these screen shots and videos and my game doesn't look that nice. What can I do to give myself some extra eye candy?
