Not Israel-Lebanon, but idiocy as my life.
« on: July 15, 2006, 05:48:57 PM »
Switched ICQ into visible mode.

Got a message from a friend that I didn't see for 5 yeas.\\

He said he's locked up and if i bring a half-litre - he'll be OK. Or he'll ****ing die.

So I am a bloody bastard and I go buy a halflitre, go to the subway station under pouring tropical rain, wearing my chinese tennis shoes with built-in holes in the soles sucking 2 liters for each leg.

I arrive to "Biblioteka Lenina" station, take a train to "Arbatskaya" on a blue line, i walk to the place and meet a guy who didnt see me for maybe 5 years.

I am still wet. Msk rain means that I walk in the water knee-deep. Drank that halflitre with a fiend sitting in a car.

It's the main question.

I think - it was.

He's locked in his room, his family doesn't let him go away :( When I arrived  - he managed to get out and we consumed that halflitre in his Niva (VAZ-2121) listening to the radio. Alcoholism is no good :(

Lets see if I get this, your friend has a serious problem with alcohol, his family is trying to help him by making him get sober, and you went and got him drunk.

Good buddy you are, sabotage their efforts to give him his life back.

The problem isn't alcohol.  The problem is the dude.  Don't ever assume that there's a problem or that some inanimate object causes the problem.

The problem is me.

I can't resist helping a man who said he needs an assistance. I walk under a rain and i spend half of my weekly spendings to "rescue" him.

As i said to anotjher friend - i simply need adventures. So it goes :(

If it was a hot girl you hadn't seen in years, then it would have been cool.  As it is, it's sorta creepy.

Maybe there's a better way to take care of him than locking him up at home?
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

I don't care if he's locked or so.

He's my friend.

There are not so many things  that are more precious then friends. Even if you haven't seen them for years.

Hot girls? - I had them here :) They picked me up on Bouleward Ring aftr the bottle was empty ;)

I start to think that we have Capital Misunderstanding. East and West. So it goes :(

I think it all sounds very Russian, Boroda. Like something out of a Tolstoy novel or Dostoevsky. You couldn't refuse his request anyway.  I would have done the same, if only for the adventure. I have often found that the little dramas we all think we want to avoid are often the most memorable and even enjoyable. Like running out of petrol and having to walk for miles or getting into trouble in work or having to travel many kilometres to help a friend. Many is the time I found myself in a situation, wondering how I got there, but really actually enjoying it.  It's all part of what make life interesting.

But, the big question is this: What happens the next time he calls?

I know he'll not call me again when he'll simply want to drink.

Anyway - I'll try to help him if he'll need it.

And I KNOW that he'll help me when i'l need it.

It's our Asian/barbarian way to live. Someone calls me when i have nothing to do and i go buy a halflitre and bring it to him.

Yesterday Estel got a call from a guy who suffered in a car-crash, so instead of drinking we had to catch a cab and ride for 20km only to show some Azeri guys that we watch them...

So it goes.
