Global Dimming
« on: July 17, 2006, 08:45:06 AM »
I have not seen this show but it was highly recommended to me by one of my partners.

I'm sure the usual suspects will "poo-poo" the whole thing...but maybe, just maybe we should all see the show before commenting.

Al Gore has nothing to with with the production of the show...it is from the BBC:

Those scientists are so stupid it boggles the mind. Of course the temperature will go up 1 degree C in 3 days, thats normal weather in September DUH!!!

That is as stupid as my idea for an animated series about a superhero talking flying dumpster

Realize that some things on this earth are very temperature sensitive.  For instance, coral reefs can thrive at 85 degrees F, but at 87F they die.

If it wasn't for the BBC... no one would know of all these horrible things.   They are allways on the forefront of blame.

I think that people should fly less.

Global Numbing seems to be a top priority at this time.

Curval? You posted in the thread where this was discussed almost 6 months ago. The BBC program was out before that.

I don't think you'll find anyone will have changed their positions since then. The usual suspects will dismiss you and accuse you of being under the spell of the true villan and witches who practice it - science.

Good luck! ;)

Didn't take long for the global alarmians to spawn another sect. Before long they'll be arguing over how many scientists can dance on the head of a pin.

I found it interesting how they so quickly dismissed the possibility of the lessened energy being attributed to the sun itself. I only ready about 2/3 of the article but did they even do a preliminary study of this? How can they presume to call what they do science if not?

lol

I know, I know.

But the AH The O'Club is really where one should go for good scientific knowledge, so that is why I posted it.

Thank COD all these PHDs and brilliant scientists are on here to down-play any concerns this show may have caused.

I feel so much better.  :aok

Seems the only reason to start this thread was to poo-poo on others, rather than have a discussion.
