Mouse look with Clipboard open
« on: July 17, 2006, 03:42:11 PM »
I like to fly with my mouse look. It really helps since im left handed, so I use my left to fly the plane and my right to look around. But when I have to find my location on the clipboard map, or check my E6B I hate having to to pop up the clip board, move my mouse, and my view moves because of my mouse. Some times im flying formation, and have to check our position and when I hit ESP and move my mouse, my screen moves down to the floor board and I start flying downward losing my position in the formation. HTC could you do something so when I open my clip board, it locks the mouse view, so when I move my mouse to hit E6B, Options, or anything else my view doesn't change from where I had it. This would really help, because seeing my clipboard not move and the background moving makes me dissy.

Voowho

No, because the mouse view is actually not used by many i would think.
Its just better for your Situational Awareness to use the snap view system on a hatswitch.

One thing i could think of that you can try: Just switch off mouse pan (i think the default key is SHIFT_M?) before opening the clipboard. Or fly autopilot when checking the map.
