IIRC they are already in service.

Seems silly to me. They can predict all they want, and make projections until they're blue in the face, but nobody can say for sure what technologies will become prevalent, which techniques will become favorable and, most of all, which new obstacles and functions will need to be addressed. Making it a manned, jet-powered aircraft that cannot fly beyond the atmosphere illustrates the short-sightedness well.

If they're gonna schedule thingslike this fighter bomber this far in advance, they should go ahead and design a line of 5.56mm small arms for combatting the race of aliens we have yet to meet.

Assuming those are at least mk-82s, they look too small in relation to the a/c. Photoshopped.

F-22a and the FB-22 (if it exists) dont carry regular bombs.  They carry special 'small diamater' bombs.

After looking again I have to agree that those aren't mk-82s. They are too flat and uniform throughout their length.

They're also the wrong shape.

If it was this one, note the shape of the bombs...

I'm pretty sure the pic is real.  Those look like small diameter 250lb bombs.  The F/A22 can carry JDAMs  internally as well, even release them at supersonic speeds.

Guys, that photo is actually a composite image generated by my friend and occasional co-writer, Dr. Carlo Kopp
for his website
