If they can get a bunch of fat heavily-loaded Lancs to up and follow, I think the problem is already solved. The Kate lifts off a carrier pretty much on its own, so as long as the carrier isn't turning when you up I think you'd be OK.
That fat american iron (Avengers and SBDs) might be a bit tougher, but I don't think it is anything that can't be tweaked into working. As it is now, drones seem to have a much lower stall speed (hence their quick climb to 200 ft while most bombers are still wallowing on the runway).
I'd definitely like to see this - it would make carrier-based bombing a reasonable alternative to driving big buffs over from many sectors away or just upping a heavy fighter. As it is now, why up an Avenger, Kate, or SBD when you can just grab an F4U or F6F and jam 2 x 1000 lb bombs on it? A formation option means we can take up to a 6K bombload to target with Avengers, which actually gives you a reason to up the bombers from a CV.
IMHO - it would be good for gameplay since it might bring more a more diverse aircraft mix into the CV battles. Hopefully, it would be simple to implement, since it uses existing aircraft.
