Not going to miss him a bit. He wore out his welcome quite some time ago and that includes any shade accounts he may bring up as well.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Beet1e hated it when we used split infinitives, but with him gone, there's no reason to not do it.

On a more serious note, this forum is becomming rather stale and uninteresting.  Too much moderation kills a BBS.

As opposed to someone who bravely slanders someone else over the internet, right?  Not much point in ripping on someone who can't even fight back even if he wanted to, unless this is how you stroke your own ego.

Miss him? Not likely. In fact, not at all.

What's the problem JAB?  People slandered Beetle to his virtual face on these bbs all the time.  He returned the favor with great fervor...

I liked Beetle.   I really did.  He and I were tight...like THAT!

We've been buds ever since we almostkindasorta met once in Little Rock.  I had offered to meet him there and wine and dine him at the Clinton Cigar Store, Shrine, Restaurant and Apologetica Emporium...but he was prevented from making his trip to the U.S. by a "personal" crisis.

By the way, I don't know how much truth there was in the allegations made against him by his erstwhile love.  He may be as innocent as all get out...and the victim of a spiteful and vindictive vixen.  I refrained from passing judgement on him while that was going on because I simply didn't know the truth of the matter.

But, as country foke would say in these parts, "Damn any man that'll beat a woman."

WOT?! Beetle got the ban? Where? Why?
(Linkie?)

Never found Beetle that rooted or vicious, just sometimes a bit hot-tempered when dealing with ... very hard posts.
No data manipulation, but a very solid opinion on many subjects, and I always thought he supported those quite well.
Now, Crumpp lost it a bit and got banned. Kuffie got banned. Scholzie got banned. Did Beetle get that far as well??

Where is this world coming to???
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

"What's the problem JAB? "

I don't see why Dago has such an axe to grind.   Maybe Beet1e killed his dog or something?

As Angus points out, this BBS is losing a lot of the more interesting personalities.  Perhaps instead of shutting it down, HTC decided to sterilize it into oblivion.
