Are the cv's modeled to scale?  We have all seen the photo's of American ships with loads of fighters 10 rows deep at the end of the ship waiting for take off...I have never tested how many fighter rows could fit on our ship, but I highly doubt it's a large #, and still provide a flyable flight deck?

maybe im wrong, just wanted to throw this out

not sure if the Carriers in Aces High are the class that held these B-25s for the Dolittle Raid but there is a lot of B-25s on the deck

I think someone said our carriers are modelled off the Essex-class
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Well just from eyeballing it, it seems somewhat to scale.

The problem is everone spawns at the same point on the CV deck, so it's hard to get everyone packed on there so neatly to judge the scale.

If it is based upon the Essex then 15.5 B-26's should fit nose to tail along the deck.....

Might be fun to try. If just to get film or a screen shot

First guy off the spawn point would have to taxi forward to just
even with the forward 5 inch gun, then everybody stack up behind.

F6F or F4U with a full fuel load (w/droptanks) can get into the
air in that distance no problem.

By the way, Zeno's Warbird Drive-in has, or used to have a
Navy training film about spotting and re-spotting the flightdeck
for launch and recovery of aircraft.  Very interesting to watch the
plane handlers at work.

Ya know I was just thinking What was the point of putting all those planes on the deck....

I assume that they would all be tied down, but what happens if the ship has to turn full lock to port (why oh I dont know they see a mine or somthing) could they not loose aircraft over the side ?

Aces High CV's are about 900 ft long, so they seem to scale.

Seems that most pictures where the fighters are lined up for takeoff aren't as full as the parked pictures. The spawn point on our CV is 1/4 of the way down the deck already for the fighters. I think the bombers start a little farther back.

It was me I was wondering what class they were And after looking it up they are Essex class. But It would be cool to get a screen shot of all the fighters lined up if some on dose that please let me know I would love to put that as my wallpaper.:aok :aok :O

But remember that when you stack all thouse fighters up have some guys flying patrol for ya a full deck stack like that would be a lot of points for some one:aok :aok :noid
