Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for books on the Fw190F series?

Thanks for the replies.

Depends on what you are looking for.

The Squadron/Signal series of WalkArounds has one.

Monogram close up series contains a book on Fw 190F but it might be hard to find.

Looking for pilot memoirs (sp), units, areas of operations, sortie descriptions that sort of thing.

Were the F series put into their own squadrons or units or were they part of a larger air wing?

Sorry for the lack of knowledge, it's why I am looking for books about this ;)

The F was a ground attack a/c. Check out this site for units. Look for SG.

Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in North Africa has some info on operations.

The NASM book on the restoration of their 190F8 isn't too bad if you can track down a copy.

Luftwaffe ground attack units, 1939-45
by Martin Pegg
ISBN 978-0-85045-1375

A bit outdated but should get you through...

Also JaPo's Focke Wulf 190 F, G if you can find it. Its listed as 'sold out' on JaPo's webage and has been for some time.
