I fly with it on at all times. Dont see the need for the extra hassle of tryin to trim it while only trying to play a game.

Never used Combat Trim. To slow in responding. Elevator and Rudder trim is setup on my Pro Throttle. I trim as I fly and maneuver.

There's no hassle at all once you understand it. It's a simple click or two. It's all part of playing.

Trimming out of a compressed dive, or taking another plane into a dive knowing they will compress before you makes all the difference in a fight.

Only use it very sparingly to re-trim a plane. Most often if a plane get badly out of trim I will level wings and hit auto-trim for angles. It is a much better way to get a base trim setting than hitting combat trim. Especially in planes like the Ki-84 which hate combat trim.

If you don't have an available hat to control trim I can see how using CT could be helpfull. I've never trimmed using the keyboard, that just seems awkward to me.

Off pretty much 100% of the time, i got two hats set up for trim controls, which some planes need more attention than others keeping the nose tracking fairly neutral, others not so. I find it helps hanging on the prop and extremely slow maneuvering as you dont have to fight against something that thinks your trying to fly straight and level.

At one time I had it off 100% of the time. I have it on 100% of the time now, but I do have a hat switch set so that I can manual trim also to get out of a compressed dive or counter missing pieces.

Having tried it both ways I dont think it really makes that much difference one way or the other.

I almost always have CT on... low speeds in a Ki84 I trim ele all the way up, and I trim up to get out of some dives in 109's, but that's about it. I'm told it makes a difference in 38's as well, but I never fly that pig.

I'll switch trim on for taking a shot, apart from that, I leave a slight yaw in so if I get jumped quick on my six I'm not moving in the same line as the rounds (usually)
