These "guru's" are going to need more info. Does your computer meet the minimum requirements to run Aces High? You could post what kind of machine you have, with basic info likeCPU size, amount of ram, and type of video card and ram on the video, or you could go to "Start, run" and type in dxdiag. After the computer runs that program, save the info to a text file...... think you hit a button on the lower left.... and cut and paste the first third, to half here. Some of these guys can figure out a lot of problems ust with that.

Tech service is awsome here, so don't worry, if any one can get ya flying these guys can!  :)

:huh Wow...um...

You have about 1/2 the CPU needed to get much of anything out of the game, and about 1/5 the RAM.

From the look of that, I'm guessing (blind guess) that your video chip isn't going to do it either.

System requirements are listed on the homepage when you first come to Aces High.  900mhz Pentium III or better, 256MB of RAM, useable 3D video card (not their words).

AH1234, yes much more info than that will be needed.  Most times its not a hardware problem but drivers.  Please post a copy of your Direct X diagnostic report (about the first 1/3 of it, listing your hardware devices and their drivers).  For instructions on how to do this see the sticky at the top of the forum.

From your Dxdiag:

Quote
Sound Tab 1: No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.

Theres your problem. Aces High needs some form of sound device. Onboard sound might work for default sounds... .better would be to get a sound card.
21 is only half the truth.

AH1234, you also need to upgrade the video card driver to verion 61.77 (http://www.nvidia.com).  Do not use the latest drivers.  They will cause problems.

Like Schatzi said, Aces High II requires a DirectX compatible sound card.  You probably have a sound card but have not loaded the native drivers for it.
---
Goatboy, without knowing exactly what video card you have, the best guess is the system is not going to be up to the minimum requirements for Aces High II to run.  The CPU and RAM are certainly below the minimum requirements though.

Notice where it says "Card name: Intel(R) 82810E Graphics Controller"

What you have is a computer about 3 generations old now that isnt going to play much of any modern games.  The processor is too slow and the video chipset that handles the graphics isnt up to 3D gaming.

For what it would cost you to upgrade your system to a point where it could play Aces High you could buy a new one.  But assuming you want to try ...........

First off, I'd call around at used computer stores and see if anyone has a Pentium III processor you could swap for your Celeron.  Make sure its at least 900 mhz, they had some over 1 ghz as well.  You might make do with less, but if you have to upgrade it why bother with borderline?

Next, your video will need upgrading.  You need to determine your options.  Do you have a AGP slot available?  You'll have to take the side off the case and look inside.  There should be one slot that's a brown color, and offset differently than the others.  If they are all white, and all in a line, then you dont have an AGP slot and you'll have to buy a PCI video card.  They are getting hard to find, but they are still available.

Your memory should be OK if you arent sharing with the video chipset.

Bare minimum you'll need the new video card.  Figure on around $100.  I really dont think that your current 800mhz Celeron will cut it, but I could be wrong.

IMO, rather than spend that much money upgrading what is still going to be outdated hardware, you could order the parts and build your own fairly modern computer for not much more, and have as many options for online gaming as you like.  Thats just my opinion though.
