Just get a real shocked look on your face. Tell her you forgot to wash your socks and run away.  Works for me every time  :D

Tell her that you need to re-string your tennis racket and then ask if she can recommend the best breed of cat to make "cat-gut" strings out of....should do the trick..

or von Max, that's also a good one.

Eill have to scan photo of Mad Max himself: crazy, lively dog.

Knew a chick that had a smelly little weiner dog named "Burrito"

Knew a family that had a cat that got run over... they called it Frizbee. (I called it Prophecy)

I had a spectacularly smart old black and white (gateway cow markings) longhaired cat that was prone to hawking up those nasty ucky wads of fur in the most inappropriate places as lil gifts to unrepentant humans.. We called it Hairball. Hairball also had 12 documented kills on AW.

Have a runt shorthair black now, it's name is Fuzzball. It's not as smart as old Hairball was... but it certainly has an entertaining penchant for riding dogs uninvited, and does a wild Tarzan act with the drape pull cords.

We've got a red tabby here at my house we call "Manny" short for "Lord Manfred Skittles". In all fairness...he's dumber than a box of s**t, but he's a cool cat nontheless... :D
