Matt Damon is listed to play James T. Kirk. Should be interesting. I think Shatner rocks, but unlike Shatner, Damon can actually act. :)

Is that confirmed?  Last I heard, the only confirmation was that JJ Abrams was directing.

Hmm last i "heard/read" the whole prequal thing about kirk,spock and mccoy want going to happen.
but, who knows. untill they actually have ascript and start filiming then we shall see.
ill try and dig up the article with abrams and where he said that the next startrek installment wasnt going to be about the "early" years of the original crew. I think after enterprise paramount figures that going backward with startrek isnt a good thing.
I could be wrong though...it happend once before. :O

i wont be able to dig up the article till i get home from work, i fairly sure that I have it on my home machine
