CV Control
« on: August 01, 2006, 10:52:36 AM »
I wish we could take control of cv groups as soon as scores are reset...Yea, it only happens once a month, and the problem only last 2-3 hours, but its a flaw and screwing the rooks right now...We are attacking A46 (large zone base) and we have no way of moving the ship out of shore battery shots, or incoming bombers...because of this flaw we wont get the base....

please allow cv control, or even cv movement before scores come out

That's an idea, when arena resests, also reset the CV owner to default (Un-Owned)

Do you meen control as in set way points or take command? I.E. not let anyone else have control?

No, I think what he means is that when the MA arena resets, after winning a war. Or when you guys come in and manually reset the arena. He wants the CV's to automatically reset as well so they are no longer owned.

Let's say I owned a carrier named TG20. After the reset, my ownership is terminated and that particular CV is up for grabs.

Hitech...What I am saying is that players should have the ability to set way points for the cv without ownership (like we already can do with scores), before the scores come out...I get what your trying to do with blocking ownership pre scores, because you are worried someone will just hog the cv, but with all due respect, I really have my doubts...For the most part, 99.9% of people that use CV's are team players...I just dont see someone during the first two or three hours of the new month running off and being a cv nazi lol...

Even if you decide to keep it as is, how do you explain enemy attack on cv's?  it's a sitting duck out there without the option to change direction during attack...

o well

I think he means like the person with the lower rank (ex rank 200 cant take a cv from rank 100) when all the ranks are at 0 one person can take the cv but when everyone is ranked the same 1 n00b can take it and no one else can take it?

Am I right?

Let me try again...I took ENG 100 before I even qualified for ENG101 in college so bare with me! lmao...

This past Tuesday the arena/map was reset for the 1st of the month, and the start of a new tour...Everyone's score was zero because the 24 hours have not passed to update score....  The rooks had zero control of their cv...We were not able to take control of the cv, nor were we able to give way-points...Everytime one of us either tried to take command of a ship, or simply set a way-point, there would be no action...We could draw whatever course on the map we wanted the ship to steer, but once we hit submit, everything would disapear(sp) and the ship would remaind on its original (AI?????) course....  This caused three major problems...The route the cv was taking went straight through a pt spawn....it was in extremely close range of sb's, and it left us out in the cold to enemy bombers because we did not have the ability to change the ships course....

What I want, is the ability for players within the first few hours of a new tour, before any ranks/scores are updated, to be able to either take control of the ship, or to atleast be able to give some human imput into the waypoints instead of AI or whatever is controlling it now....

Remember...I am only talking about the 1st of the month when a new tour starts....this has nothing to do with the 2nd-30th/31st of a month...does this make any more sense htc?

Cav: You should be able to control the CV I.E. set way points and submit with 0 rank, but you should not to be able to take command of it. Ill verify it is working as should.

2nd there is no AI controling the CV. Some one must have set those way points.
