Dinner with a string attached
« on: August 03, 2006, 11:44:05 AM »
Took a group out for steaks the other night at Outback, one of the kids orders cheese fries... 10 minutes later a food runner returns with the cheesefries to set them on the table and there is a string of cheese stuck from her lip that runs down to the plate of cheese fries, after setting it down that string of cheese must have been 4 feet long by the time she realized.... Talk about bizarre moments!

Can you say "dinner for 6 Comped!"

I guess these things happen in threes?

Walked over to Arbys next door with a couple of co-workers, order my "Number"
and sit down, the ffries are cold as are everyone elses fries so I grab all the fry containers take them to the counter and tell the kid I would like some hot food..
He takes the fries and sticks his hand on them to see if im right, then drops them back in the fryer.....  Ive never seen anyone do that yet....

Gotta charge up the dvd recorder, the next food encounter is going to be video worthy...:)

Hate to break it to you T0JO, but what else do you think they do when you ask them for hot food?  Its either thrown back down on the grill or back in the fryer until warm.

Thats not speaking for higher end food places, though.

I was not the recipient of the re-heated fries BTW.... It was the next guy in line who was placing his order who had them served to him...
four of us had eaten a couple of the cold fries before I walked up and gave them back....Thats the sad part or irony of this story..

Its also against the law to serve food that has been served, returned and then reheated..

Microwaves are also good for reheating food. Once they dropped those fries back in the grease all of them are contaminated. Granted not much would survive but that was impproper food handling.
