What the? Do you where that? No wonder I'm no good at this, all I have is a joystick and too much time on my hands....I can't compete with that kind of technical wizardry!

Donīt worry. While TIR is a big improvement, you donīt NEED that to be a good pilot. Actually, only a very small percentage of AH flyers do own a TIR. Most people use good olī Hat View, and the mousewielders not even that :)
The only equipment really neccessary to get "good" is a stick, anything else is luxury.

Theres hope for me yet!

TIR wont make you a better pilot, but it can give you an advantage in some fights...that is of course after the learning (pronounced 1-50 kill to death ratio) curve.  Its a lot like golf...good equipement helps, but nothing can make up for practice and skill.

Guys, I just installed the software, put the little clip on my hat, started the game and hit f-12 to center the picture and I haven't looked back since.... Except to see the bad guys that is.  The first time I was attacked from behind and was able to eventually reverse the situation and shoot down the other guy was really something, never lost sight of my enemy wherever he was, just kept him in the picture and manuvered around till the gunsight was between my eyes and his plane.  My only advice is that when you hit f-12 do it with your head slightly looking downward, not too much but just a little. Then you overhead view will be seamless from the top of the dash to behind the seat.

nturbiz...map center F12 to your joystick...youll be amazed...click on hotkeys and click change..then click the button you want and make sure you erase whatever function that button had before.

Hmm, so you have to wear a hat?  Is the hat tetherd so you don't forget and wear it around when done playing?  I am not so sure about this hat deal.  Will it fit over a leather flying cap?

Check out my signature, download my film.  It was shot using TrackIR Pro 4.

TIR is great.  It's a more realistic viewing system, although sometimes it can give a you disadvantage.  If you are looking to your rear right, you have to spin your head completely around to the left to look rear left.  I've lost my direct 6 view in my typhoon, so now, I just look to my 5 or 7 o'clock and then use rudder to slide my tail side to side to check my direct 6.
When in a ground vehicle, TIR should be disabled with a hotkey, temporarily, when using the MAIN gun.

Seems like more and more are buying the Track IR.

They have films of their product on their website, for those curious about what it looks like and how to use it.

Edited for grammer. :)

Be sure to check out Kermit's "Carrier Sortie" as it demos TIR beautifully.  It's also a great movie in general.

Didn't see your post there Kermit until after I posted this one.  :)
