Also Leadpig you should make sure you have positioned the little IR transmitter-receiver on an approximate level with your head, and a good distance from where you sit. Mine is a few inches beyond arm's length away. If you sit much lower or higher than the level it is positioned the view will jerk because it won't read the reflectors on your cap properly.
I also had a strange problem a few times. At first I used a regular baseball cap to attach the reflectors and things worked fine. Then went to an open-topped bill and on occasion it seemed my hair (blond) was interferring and reflecting enough IR to confuse Track IR causing view problems. But once I tucked my hair below the level of the sweatband of the bill things worked fine again.
You should also try the TrackIR Object Relative Move option both selected and deselected to see which way you prefer. I have it selected. Some prefer it deselected. It changes the way your head-turning and leaning is presented on screen. On the clipboard choose: Options, Preferences, View Options, then check or uncheck TrackIR Object Relative Move.
I don't see much of a hit on the CPU with Track IR.
I also concur with Balsy to set a "recenter" button on your Joy Stick. I recenter several times per flight, especially just before engaging or shooting or releasing ord.
I suggest practicing offline too to get used to it.
