for those of you with this, mark your calendars:

I find this style of fighting most entertaining, better than boxing or kick boxing as it combines both with judo, wrestling, street fighting, you name it -  thrown in. It was on a few years ago and now is back. Looks like a live match every month for a while.

Two of my employees compete in these competions locally. I asked why, he said for the money. I asked if he ever got hurt and he said "its just a good whippin". Crazy MOFO!

These things are great with a bottle of Fek'n Tekilla (tm)  :D  Last time me and my roommate decided to go out in the street after it was over and have our own UFC   j/k but we did joke about it hehe.

I like the old rules better though.  I'll never forget seeing Taktarov have a guy sit on his chest and pound his face for 15 min, only to have Taktarov come back and win the fight  :)

 Exciting toejame man!

Or why not go back to the old fashioned way and have Gladiators?
You could use death row inmates or even the captured talibani. Give ‘em
swords whatever they want.

I’d pay to see that.

I prefer to watch real martial art tournaments.

Its awesome to see that most competitions that pit different disciplines vs each other (aka, judo vs karate vs aikido, etc) always ended up with ONE of them winning every time.

A pure for of judo.. I think it was called ja..jujitsu or someting like that (no, NOT ninjitsu, those got their tulips kicked in the first rounds).

Fun to watch all the karate guys throw punches and these folks grabbing their arms and flipping them on the mat to no end. Much fun  :)

Similar in these. The wrestlers & judo men usually win with chokes or submission holds. Knock outs are rare. When it first came out, the first 3 or 4 were won by a small judo (I think) guy from South America somewhere, Brazil?. He was from a family of fighters. More scared of losing and having to face his brothers & father than anyone in the octagon.  :)
It's fun to see the bigger street fighters, brawlers for the most part, lose by technique.
