What's the matter Funked? Don't you know it's cool/hip to be PC these days?

The Redskins are my home team, I've been watching them play football for 20 years. I'll be very pissed off if they have to change their name... I was pissed off when they changed the Bullets to the Wizards... the "Bullets" was considered offensive for toejam's sake! When will this crap end????

(same LA Times article) Utah was the first state to ban "Redskins" variations on license plates, beating California by a few months in 1999.

And we all know how freakin LIBERAL those Mormons are!

Kneejerk - Kneejerk - Kneejerk the new conservative motto!

attacking the license plates on his Toyota pickup "is really grasping at straws. But I'm not Indian," he added sympathetically.

Screwy understanding Californians......

BTW California has voted REPUBLICAN more often than not in the Presidential elections. It is hardly "the most liberal State" (see Mass. or Wisc. or Minn.) Aside from a few pockets of liberal thought like Berkely, Venice, North Hollyweird and some college towns, California is staunchly conservative.

I've been in California reading my history books  ;)

Since FDR there have been 14 elections....California voted Republican in 9 of those, including a string of 6 in a row from 1968 through 1988. I think my statement"more often than not" is backed up by the facts.

Yeah, but your post doesn't fit into the right wings paranoid fantasies about how the "leftist liberal democrats" are the root of all evil and the cause of Americas problems of the last thirty years.

Their *selective* memory doesn't allow them to remember how that piece of filth Reagan and his boot licking lackey Bush diddlyed up the economy with their deficit spending or how their drug dealing on a grand scale wrecked the lives of untold numbers of Americans.

If it doesn't fit their paranoid delusions then it didn't happen. <at least in their minds>

Weazel, don't forget, Carter admitted that more military spending was needed right before he stepped down, after Afghanistan was overrun by the Soviets, and Iran took hostages, he finally woke up.  Reagan signed all the military bills put forth because they were already drafted for Carter.  Carter went on national TV and admitted he should have built up the national defenses.  Thank GOD we spent the money, or the Gulf war and this war could be a mute point for justice.

 So weazel,

Since when does the executive branch control spending?  You my friend are every bit as much, actually alot more, a fanatical left winger who can't see through his anger.  You can't even be honest with yourself about the deficits of the 60's, 70's and 80's.  The executive signs the bills into laws, so Reagan and Bush41 get some credit, but they by no means controlled the leftist socialistic legislative agenda of the Democrat controlled congress.  Truth hurts doesn't it?

I honestly don't think you or your kind understand the meaning of the words honor or integrity or honesty for that matter.  You're hero clinton was IMPEACHED[/i] for PURGURY  that's telling a lie after your sworn to tell nothing but the WHOLE truth, not partial truths or your "spin" on the truth, but simply the whole truth.  You will sit there and tell us who do know the meaning of those words that it was all about sex and his private life.  Sad sad sad.  The saddest group of people on this planet are people who cannot be honest with themselves.  You can't even bring yourself to admit the dems role in the deficits, sad sad sad.  You're opinion therefore is worth as much as a bowl full of rocks.

dude you got a druggy pot head fealing sorry for ya, how does that make ya feel?   :D

How is Clintons lying on the stand any different than the scum Reagan saying "I don't recall" when questioned about Iran/Contra? Or how about the criminal who pardoned him for his crimes against America?

Get a grip man, they're all the same regardless of party affiliation, they're interested in maintaing the status quo...at our expense.

Your feeling sorry for me doesn't affect me in the least, sober up for 3 years or so then I might attach some importance to what you have to say.  Until that happens your just another doper.  ;)

Heheh, Udie and weazel make me think of two monkeys jumping up and down screeching at each other.   :D

Udie, it seems that whenever someone gives you the evidence you ask for you just ignore it, and say "Where's your evidence."  Hey kettle, where's your evidence?

weazel, why are you making generalizations about consveratives and right wingers.  I've conversed with alot of pretty smart ones on this board, they aren't all the same.

(Ripsnort) Thank GOD we spent the money, or the Gulf war and this war could be a mute point for justice.

Surprisingly to many I bet...I agree. We spent that money in the 1980's to rebuild our military after the Viet Nam backlash of the 70's. And the affect that spending had on the communist block probably made it worth the cost.

Now here is where we diverge. When the spending is couched as Reagan's plan to bankrupt the Soviets the conservatives cry YES! and hallelujah. When the defecit from all that spending is mentioned......damn that (all those cool adjectives Udie throws in go here) Democratic Congress.

Ya can't have it both ways!
