Now i have a 5'X7' handsewn Texas state flag at Gaines Mill,Va. at the very spot on the battlefield where the 5th texas charged a yankee position under heavy cannon fire and dug in infantry fire  to which they over ran and captured 3 Yankee field pieces.

Was a very somber place to visit, totally quiet all around.I HIGHly reccamend anyone going there. The ironic thing about that photo, in the army of Northern Virginia only the 51 inch square battleflag was suppose to be flown and no state flags were to be flown.

That rocks many a sock (and I mean that; no sarcasm) but it doesn't count for Operation Downfall. :D

born in Laredo right on the border, lived in Fort Worth area for 17 years or so, now reside in Burleson, about 15 minutes south of fort worth. Been to Alaska numerous times as well as many other states, Alaska is definately pretty and fun for outdoors but I wouldn't want to live anywhere  but TX, if I had to pick a 2nd home I would have to choose San Diego for the golf :aok
