The brave IJN pilots once again attacked targets around Guadalcanal. Heavy damage was done to fuel and ammo stores but the Hangars remained intact and flight ops was not severely affected. Many Marine and Naval aviators scored multiple kills and the losses have hurt the IJN considerably.
Allied attacks in the central Solomons have been stepped up and caused severe damage to two enemy airfields. A troop convoy was found in the Slot and several large vessels were sent to the bottom. These attacks came with a toll. Many good pilots and valuable aircraft were lost in the attacks.
