Aces High on Laptop/Problems
« on: August 05, 2006, 07:07:01 PM »
I downloaded the latest version, opened it up, installed my user name and password.  When I open it up, I get a strange looking clipboard that keeps flipping around in 360 degrees.  It won't let me enter either.  Anyone have a fix ?  Thanks

There are a few issues you need to deal with re: notebooks, such as disabling cpu power saving.. depending on your hardware.

Post your specs.

Find the aceshigh.exe file (default folder is C:\HTC\Aces High II\...) and right click it. Select Properties - Compatibility tab.

I'm pretty sure you'll need to disable 1 core, along with any power saving.

I use a P-M 2.2, 128M 6600go notebook.. before I disabled the power saving it would spike the cpu and cause what looked like bad lag when I pulled the trigger.

I have read of the spinning issue and recall it was a dual core cpu thing, some one might know for sure.

You might investigate coolbits to tweak your nvidia card settings, mine OC's great with zero heat issues.
