Saw the movie "World Trade Center" tonight...All I can say is that it is very powerful.  Living in such close proximity to Manhattan, and actually losing two friends during the attack I found the movie very difficult to watch because of all of the old emotions it sparked in such a short period of time, but I am glad I saw it...I recommend it to all...As hard as it is to watch, I think it is important to see again, instead of denying a part of your life, no matter how emotional it is...
I also ask everyone that see's the movie, to keep the tears on their face after they cry instead of whipeing (sp) them away because they were not meant to be whiped...They represent everything about that day, and the love for our country, and most importantly the memory that should never fade

It's not a film I will be going to see, same goes for flight 93. Who needs movies when we had the real thing? I don't need reminding today of all days with yet another plot averted in London.

I don't either, but I think many of my countrymen are far to quick/willing/eager to forget.

As much as I would like to see this, I may NOT see it.  That day is overwhelming to me.  I brought my then newborn son Ian and my wife home from the hospital on Sept. 11, 2001.   I'll never forget, as much I want to.

I dont think it political at all, although three thing's stood out that were very minor....

First there was a very small claim that a missile hit the Pentagon, but in the confusion of the early hour's, im sure there were assumptions...

I also didnt like the minor portrayl of President Bush...The showed him giving his immediate reaction speech, but instead of filling the whole screen, the camera was pointed towards a televison set broadcasting the speech...I dont know what it i was...maybe the colors were slightly shaded, but it didnt seem right to me.....

***What I did REALLY like was Oliver Stones portrayal of the Marine...The way he portrayed the marine was dead on...Selfless and AMERICAS BEST!

The marine's name was Staff Sargeant Carns...When asked for something shorter and easier he replied "staff sargeant"...

i dunno...if you think your ready then just see it

bingo

The politicians love this crap.  Renews the vicarious (and largely artificial) trauma that people went through on 9/11.  Add in a nice Fox News "RED TERRAR ALERT OMG" feeding frenzy and people start voting based on emotion instead of intelligence.  Worked in 2002 I guess.

i was watching penn and tellers bullchit! where they are talking about the 9/11 conspiracy theories and they were being smug and talking about wackos and how they needed to stop the theories before oliver stone went and made a film about it.

they probably inspired it.

heh.

I think its the right time to make a movie like this...first off right now the approval for the war on terror is at a all time low and many americans are forgetting why we are fighting...this movie will remind us why we are fighting and i bet the approval for the war will skyrocket after this movie has been realesed for about a week.

Second every1 knew that 9/11 will be made into a movie...i mean theres alot of peral harbor movies out there and which the attack was almost the same...surprised...and lots of americans were killed... so im not too surprised that they made a movie about 9/11 at all when theres probably 10 different versions of peral harbor out there

And for people who think it willl too emotional...no1 said u had to go see it wait till l8r to see it or somthing

oh and yes there were several reports of a missle hitting the pentagon and also the world trade center soon after the attacks...

and why do we need movies when we had the real thing? (cpxxx)

because we shouldnt forget...never...the 9/11 attacks had made this country reunite as whole and we stuck through it together, it made this country stronger, and yes it do bad things and killed many people but however it made this country relize we arent as invincable as we thought...and now we are stronger as a whole...

well theres my 2 cents..

I'll probably catch em both via NetFlix

I dont hit the theaters often...and when I do, its for fun stuff...stuff like that I prefer to see at home, in my own comfort zone.

Ditto...  Minus the netflix thing.

Pretty much any movie I see in the theaters I'll buy the moment it comes out on DVD as well.
