Undoubetdly some who have read my post's, classify me as a partisan...I am a Republican.  But I am a Republican who does not hate democrats...I am a Republican who is always willing to seriously entertain the thought's and idea's that come from another political party...I am a Republican who encourages inter-party cooperation...  I am a Republican who is willing to vote non Republican when I agree with something different...

Unfortunately many Americans, on both sides of the aisle have become such extreme partisan's, that they can not do the same...There are so many of us that lean so far towards the left or right, and have become so filled with hate, that they have lost the ability to leave politics at the table, and are bringing this partisan hatred into social life, and into our community's...

To be honest with you it makes me sick, and I am truely fearful of what may become of this great Nation!

The country has been polarized for quite some time now.

Pick your color, red or blue!

I think this is dangerous as can be...I know more then a few republicans, and democrats---(although they wont be my friend since im a repuKKKe, as they would say) that are just unable to leave politics at the table...They truely judge, and come to their final conclusion on a person, without speaking a word to them, souly on the pretence of political affiliation...

Nothing good can come from this...

Is anyone else worried?

i don't vote party.
i vote people.

when a country is divided on a line it is looking inward not outward...backwards not forwards.

we have been reactive for so long that i wonder if we will ever get our butts back on track and set the bar again.

i dont see that happening here...but ya, i could imagine it globally.

i think that is a part of the growing pain that may come with globalization.

i tend to believe that our own civil war was fought over standardization rather than some moral perogative.

Worried?

I don't know. You tell me.

Regarding Lieberman's website going down (due to him being a cheap-arse spending $150/mo for a hosting service that was never able to handle the traffic of this election) you said:

Quote
All the democratic party has done in this campaign is shown where their true colors fly...TO THE FAR LEFT, and as a result, when Lieberman is re-elected, this time as an independant, they will only have lost a guranteed vote among party lines....

Really pathetic democrats........

Same thread:

Quote
Your liberal party has now become the party of 1 issue...Anti war! All I can say to you is remember the late 60's, George McGovern and what followed....

And same thread:

Quote
The Democratic party has turned into a single issue party and has shown their true colors with Lieberman...I think a good analogy for what the dems have recently done would be like forsaking and completely shunning your child out of your life because they married outside of your religon, or were a homosexual

Nuther thread...

Quote
Seriously though, WTG all groups involved in taking down these scumbags.....They are claiming no affiliation to Osama or Al Qaeda, and if this proves to be the case then maybe it will open up all the eyes of the liberals and let them see this isnt just a war on osama, but a war on the ideology of terror...

I could go on but I think the point has been made. If you're so worried about it, why have you been adding to it?

Partisanship as we know it now has only made the big-time in the last 12 years... and has been brewing for 20 years prior to that. You have the Republicans to thank for it. From Goldwater in the 60's, to Limbaugh in the 80's, to FOX and Newt's "words to use when describing Democrats" in the 90's to countless accusations of "treason" and "anti-American" in this decade...

Seriously - who is the Democratic Coulter? Who is the Democratic answer to Limbaugh? Who is the Democrat's Hannity? What is the Democrat's FOX News?

Jane Fonda? A radio station that reaches a thousandth of the people that the right wing media does? Seriously. Where is the Democrat's answer to all the partisanship coming from the right?

Well if it applies and you take part in it and you're still worried about it despite that ..... what's your excuse?

Whats my excuse??????  I have no excuse because none is needed...I have my opinion's on the democratic party...None of these opinions affect my judgement of character of a person because of his party...None of my personal opinions affect me so much that I wont give the other side a chance, and hear out their arguement, and possibly even support it...They are opinions sparked for the most part from disagreement, but that doesnt change anything that I said "I was" in my first post....

And you wanna talk about a liberal ann coulter?  Okay...  Mike Malloy...  What's his favorite line?  Republicans are Nazi's???  Republicans should stop giving birth....George Bush should be hung???  Or was it when he said in one breath of air that 9/11 was an inside job, Osama is a CIA agent, and Al Zarqawi was nothing more then a fictional propoganda character.....

I hate Ann Coulter...I met her this past February at a political convention in DC called CPAC...Her literal and passionate extremism is exactly what I hate, but dont go ahead and act like there is none of it happening in the democratic party

I guess "willing to work with the other side" was kind of a debatable point.... and I would have loved to have seen you give an example of the Republicans doing anything aproximating that in the last 6 years (phhht)....  hence the edit, I'd imagine.

Please...

There's a couple of things that I can't stand when it comes to politics.

One is watching people jump on some misguided shoddily built train, and screech at everyone else just before the thing derails..... and on the way down over the cliff scream "ALL TRAINS SUCK!"

The other is to see the sad lamentation over the loss of civil discourse on the way down. WHY CAN'T WE GET ALONG?!

That choice was always yours. You didn't have time for it then, and I don't have time for it now.

perhaps what you are both trying to say can be summed up with this air supply song.

I know just how to whisper
And I know just how to cry
I know just where to find the answers
And I know just how to lie
I know just how to fake it
And I know just how to scheme
I know just when to face the truth
And then I know just when to dream
And I know just where to touch you
And I know just what to prove
I know when to pull you closer
And I know when to let you loose
And I know the night is fading
And I know the time's gonna fly
And I'm never gonna tell you everything I've gotta tell you
But I know I've gotta give it a try
And I know the roads to riches
And I know the ways to fame
I know all the rules and then I know how to break 'em
And I always know the name of the game
But I don't know how to leave you
And I'll never let you fall
And I don't know how you do it

Making love out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all, out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all, out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all
Making love out of nothing at all

Everytime I see you all the rays of the sun are
Streaming through the waves in your hair
And every star in the sky is taking aim at
Your eyes like a spotlight
The beating of my heart is a drum, and it's lost
And it's looking for a rhythm like you
You can take the darkness at the pit of the night
And turn into a beacon burning endlessly bright
I've gotta follow it 'cause everything I know
Well, it's nothing 'til I give it to you
I can make the runner stumble
I can make the final block
I can make every tackle at the sound of the whistle
I can make all the stadiums rock
I can make tonight forever
Or I can make it disappear by the dawn
I can make you every promise that has ever been made
And I can make all your demons be gone
But I'm never gonna make it without you
Do you really wanna see me crawl
And I'm never gonna make it like you do

Making love out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all, out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all, out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all, out of nothing at all
Out of nothing at all
