Our initial thoughts....

I remember that day pretty clearly. I think it was a post by Eagler showed what was happening live, about 30 minutes before we had related news here on the radios. Everything stopped here, even if we were on the other side of the planet.

But of couse, Funkey is right... the aims to secure the future has changed into some kind of worldwide vendetta. It's not pretty either.

I was playing AH at the time and someone started typing about 2 planes crashing.. took me and many awhile befre realizing it was not craptalk and I turned on CNN. Cant rememeber if i caught the second plane strike, but i got on before they collapsed... My father was sitting in the livingroom with tears in his eyes and mom was just starring.

At the time my oldest brother was in the Army, E-8, and was on duty at the Ft. Bragg Command Center.  The story that he tells of that morning is riveting.

I was in bed when my wife got a call to put the tv on, a plane had crashed into the WTC.  About 10 mins. into that we saw the 2nd plane hit live.  We were in silent shock.  Then we got news about the Pentagon, and then flight 93.  It really felt like we were under attack...it made me feel like what my grandparents must have felt on December 7, 1941.
