Was it working before?
Are you getting the error message from Windows?
What video card does your computer have?
What driver are you using for the video card?
Do you have a sound card with the native sound card drivers loaded?
What in-game "Video Settings" are you using?

Sounds like it is a video setting.  What are you using right now in the game (Video Settings)?

Still need the video card and driver (Start-Run->DXDIAG, Display tab) information.
