Thanks for the help in the TA today. It helped alot. especially the work with the flaps and all. Was able to auger several planes that were saddled on my 6.

Yep, you did an excellent job of holding maximum rate turns in the TA, glad it helped   Now you just need to work on keeping them off your six in the first place... That will come as your Situational Awareness improves as you get more experience with your new view controls.

I hope he didn't mess you up to much.  jk jk You are one of the few that actually take the time to find a trainer. Which usually meens your guna kill a lot faster.

yeah but like he said, I got to keep them from getting on my six.....thats not happening yet. Always atleast one spit there. seems like right after takeoff

Hehe, i know that feeling.

The sad part about it - it will never change. In a few weeks youll keep track on 5-7 bogeys and a few friendlies around you in a fight and the 8th one will surprise you (and kill you) .

SA is just a matter of practice and not something you can learn in a few days. Its something that will always grow and do so over time.


Good view settings and not much looking forward in target fixation help it along.  The rest is bought with seat time. Practice, practice, and - did i mention practice?
