man, i miss the old school roasts.  (the old rat pack ones.)  at least they used a little tact and they were all usually friends.

so far.  these guys just arent that funny and thier humor so far has been nothing but bathroom.

it's sort of embarrasing.

but then, i'm not that funny either so there is that...

okay, lisa laminelli is pretty funny...

DID YOU THINK THAT THIS no-talent has been WOULD BE ENTERTAINING?   I'd rather gouge my eyes out and spray them with Glycol and pop em back into my head and feel the sting.   Shatner is a tool, Chuck Norris.

The roast had some good moments. Unfortunately it seemsed they had a hard time figuring out that they were supposed to roast Shatner instead of all the no name comics there. The poor choice of language was rather disapointing as well. Instead of using a bit of wit they relied on vugarity to "create" humor.

I would have liked to see better known and funnier comics doingf the roast rather than what they had. The main theme of the entire night seemed to be that Takae is gay. So what, get over it.

Fawcet shoiuld have been left in the half way house they found her in. She was an embarrassment to the entire show. She couldn't even get her monologue done by herself or even tell her best joke in one shot.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I would have paid to see someone kick Andy Dick in the nads.

There were parts that were funny but I waited to see Fred Willard and Kevin Pollack...and they only had a minute or two between commercials.

Betty White was excellent

The rest...were just embarassing to watch.

The same old gay jokes, the un-necessary profanity got tiring....it certainly wasnt worth the hour.

As Shatner said at the end...benig roasted by a bunch of nobodies.

I can see why Nimoy and others bowed out

-sigh- .. I too miss the 'rat pack' roasts.

Bob Hope, Dean Martin, George Burns, Joey Bishop..they were all class acts, it was hilarious how they all portrayed Frank Sinatra as basically a male mafia maven, ..the whole gang looked like they were havin FUN ..not hammering the crap outta someone.

I didn't see the Shatner roast .. kinda glad I missed it.
I would bet Shatner wished he had.

He was trying.  That Dick will do anything for attention.

Agreed. the old "Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts" were the best.
Saw and advertisement to buy them on CD a while back.
Was real tempted
