I'm guessing here...

3. Metal with most electrically conductive properties, I think is Silver.

5. Elements liquid at room temp are Hg Mercury and I think the non-metal Bromine, Br.

8. Unit of mass in the US?  Newtons????

13a. US ship carrying atomic bomb? USS Indianapolis I think. (Capt. Quint survived this with scars to prove it.   )

Ok, we have some right answers.  Jimdandy got the Chevy V8 ones.  Silver indeed is the most conductive metal to heat AND electricity.  Mercury and Bromine are both liquid at room temp.  The slug is the official us unit of mass (lbs/32.2).  Others that are right:  Indianapolis, Boxcar, 746W, 18436572, Sidney Camm (also designed Fury, Tempest, Typhoon in addition to Hurricane), What's my line is correct, but no one has told me his name yet.  (His first name is Filo   )  MrBill also got the US commander, but I don't have the exact spelling now either.

Lots more to go guys!    (I'll know who is an electrical engineer (nerd) when someone gets the silicon bandgap and Athlon pipeline questions.)

LOL! We mechanical types stay away from that sparky crap. That stuff will shock you. We like gears and cams and super heated steam to screw us up. That's the way for a man to go, falling into the gears of a combine. LOL!

JimDandy was close on 13b....but I believe the correct answer was "Boxscar".

I got a picture of the noseart from the plane that I took in January at the National Atomic Museum in Albequerque NM.  I need to get it scanned....I also have some pics of replicas of "FatMan" and "LittleBoy"...the 2 nuclear devices.

Ok, here's the answers to the ones that haven't been correctly answered yet.  (I just know everyone hasn't been able to sleep because they don't know all the answers.   )

1. Filo Farnsworth

6a.  Quad four engines have 0 spark plug wires.  The coils connect directly to the plugs.  The firing order is 1,3 (at the same time) then 2 and 4 at the same time.  

7.  Bandgap of silicon is 1.2 eV

9.  Athlons have an 11 stage pipeline, compared to P2, Celery, P3 10 stage and P4's 20 stage.  (Longer is NOT better for performance, but does allow higher clock speeds.)

11.  Heaviest warship in the navy is the Carl Vinson.

12. USS cole is Arliegh Burke class. (sp?)

14. Last man on the moon was Eugene Cernan. (LOL sp on the last name again.)

15. Eric Dickerson

17. (hehe) 120 hp.  Those emissions laws really took the punch out of the 5.0 during the late 80s and early 90s.

19a. Molders.

19b.  Udet died of suicide.  The "official" explaination was that he died "testing a new weapon."  (Cognac and sleeping pills are not a weapon as far as I know.)

Oh damn I shoulda got the USS Carl Vinson. My Uncle was on it. My younger brother and 2 of my cousins got to go on a Tiger Cruise from Hawaii to San Francisco. They dropped bombs and everything for them. My cousin even got knocked on his butt when an F14 did a fly by at Mach 1. Lucky bastards.

Hehehe wasn't the HO 302 like 140 hp.  Ooooh feel the power.  

And remember the old standard engine for the Firebird/Camaro?  The 95 hp Iron Duke LOL.  And people wonder why I don't like US cars.  This is the period when I was a teenager, and they were pathetic!
