been venturing out of the comfy confines of my o'clubby existance and into other AH forums.

man, is it just me or are those people weird out there?

We've got weirdness here too. The big difference is moderation. Those external communities are either wide open "i are teh furst amendment! no censorships here!" groups or "You vill not posten zie verbotten messages!" strictly censored types.

The O'Club, as you may have noticed, is at a mostly comfortable halfway point that encourages discussion, but clamps down on ******tery pretty quickly.

I dont like the other rooms very much. Full of strange names. I know the wierdoes in here, and how they work. This place is like a local bar were everyone has eachother pegged and look at new folks (or tourists as i call them) with a healthy dose of the evil-eye.

Or also we get drunk enough and decide to have a viking style raid on another message board upsetting all the little children there. IE brittney spears board, how they say she is God and an idol and the best thing since breathable air.

I know its odd, but posting in the other forums feels a bit like going to a pub other than your local. You might do it every once in a while for special events, but they aren't places you feel comfortable hanging out on a regular basis.

Besides, the O'Club attracts a better class of lunatic.
