How'd you get Wing Commander to run on a modern PC??  Even the newest one runs at hyper speed on my computer.  PC Magazine tried putting out a "updated" version of it that supposedly worked on modern computers, but I never could get it to play right.

So whats the secret?

Less than a month ago  I dug up all my old games and began auctioning them. They've been selling surprisingly well. Just not so many DOS games though.

Found something from the last century:
Advanced Tactical Fighters (dos)
Detroit (dos)
Longbow 2 (winblow)
M1 Tank Platoon 2 (winblow)
NHL 95 (dos)
Close Combat 3 (winblows)
Delta Force 2 (winblows)
Steel Panthers 2 & 3 (winblows)
Carrier Command (amiga)
Imperium (amiga)
Red Storm Rising (amiga)
Roadwar Europa (amiga)
Gunship (amiga)

Also found a box for amiga version of Syndicate, although I don't have the floppies anymore. Almost same thing with B-17 Flying Fortress - I can still remember the disk A having some problems.

I couldn't have believed that someone would actually buy NHL95 but it was actually sold. The guy who bought it was tired of playing NHL94 (I can imagine :huh ).

Too bad no other helicopter sim compares with LB2. I doubt the upcoming lock-on addon could compare with it. Soon after LB2 the EA shutdown the sim devs and became a boring publisher without versatility.

Gunship (amiga)

Heh, Got the Medal Of honor in that game.
I still remember the white knuckled fight that got me it too

I still have my old Amiga 2000. with the "Fatter Agnus" chip
No keyboard, monitor or mouse for it though

I miss"Amy"

Still have a bunch of software for it too. No boxes though.

wonder if they would sell

Yup, use a DOS emulator. Can use them for all platforms, including NES and Amiga. Even though I wasn't realy around for most of the old games, I still play some of them on this computer with emulators.

I just finished the original XCom again.  It's my laptop game, since not too many others work on a laptop.

I use DOSbox as my DOS emulator... works fine, although I haven't tried any other DOS games on it.
