All I ask, OH Skuzzy, is that you bring about, in our small world,  the "Eterna-Squelch".....

....The ability to squelch the audio of those so obnoxious, FOREVER, with a squelch list box that is likewise endless.

It IS within your given java and application development skills, OH gifted one...

For mine ears have been damaged FAR less by leaning against the speakers at a Rob Zombie concert than the shriekeing 2800 Hz "check 6" from a hoard of prepubecent helium-suckers that inhabit the game every summer like cockroaches in the garbage bin behind Burger King.

Grant me this simple prayer, OH Skuzzy!

Amen

:lol   That film is 100% quality squeaking. I thought I had it saved on this PC, but it seems I have deleted it. Someone's got to put it up again.

While I'm not dismissing the possibility of ear damage from wearing headphones for extended periods of time particularly if the volume is up and you get constant screeches but just something I thought I'd point out.

My hearing is damaged from spending way to many years as a club jock therefore my family knows to be sure to have my undivided attention when they talk to me.

This is not an uncommon phenomenom because it is caused by marriage.

HAHA, I have the EXACT same guideline...

All my guys know the official rule is 18...   But the actual rule is 'No Skweeky kids'

I think our youngest is 16, but he's got his big kid voice, he can stay.  I turned away one of his friends.

I shouldn't need tylenol just to play AH.  Just getting shot down hurts enough, I don't need someone screaming a check six on a frequency only my dog reacts to... "Whats that Lassy?  Joe12year old said 'check six'?"

That reminds me of the Monty Python sketch when one wants to report a bulgury (sp?) where just one person will understand you if they speak in a deep voice, high voice, singing voice, etc.....

Speaking purely objectively, and without regard to the pitch on vox.  The quality of EVERY online game goes dramaticly down during the summer, and then rises during the winter months, with things reverting somewhat during the weekends.

And for everyone wondering, "Was I like that when i was 12?" the answer is, you absolutely were.
