So what if I'm tiny and my orbit is eccentric?

I'm a little too far out, so now I'm no longer a planet.

I always thought I was part of the gang, even if I was different.

This really hurts.  How could they do this?

The really important question is... What does this mean for Charon?

The way things are going, the smart real estate money is on Ceres.  With Pluto's demotion, Ceres becomes even more valuable.  Originally, nobody wanted to build on Ceres because "it's just this rock, you know".  But now that Pluto has been reclassified as a plutard or whatever, small sub-planets are suddenly chique.

So get those checkbooks ready, folks!  I'll see YOU on Ceres!

I guess size DOES matter...I'm considered less valuable than an asteroid now.

August 24, 2006...a day that will live in astronomical infamy.

Where'd you get this from MRPLUTO?  Are you sure you're not just pulling this out of Uranus?

You'll need to turn in your planet card to the executive wash room...

you'll be allowed one box to carry out any personal things from your office..

The security guard will show you the door out...

:D

Have a nice day....

Nope...the bearer of the bad news was the BBC:

Uranus had nothing to do with this, I hope.

Wow, now I know what it was like to be part of the ENRON "team", Soda!

Does this mean I can go ask someone if pluto is a planet and if they say yes, I can point, lauch, and then kick them in the shin and say "it aint no planet no more, retard!" then run away laughing and screaming like a madman?

You have no one to blame but yourself.  I could have told this would happen.  Remember back at the beginning of the solar system?  All the planets were picking a spot in orbit and you could have had Mecury's spot but Nooooooo, you said you were to sensitive for all that sunlight and you would rather have a rural address, something about all that over crowding west of Jupiter.
